Join us as we photo walk world famous Hollywood Blvd. on March 20th. We'll be meeting at Hollywood & Highland at 1:00pm, then making our way to Grauman's Chinese Theater, which is just west of Highland on Hollywood Blvd. We've outlined a two mile walking tour that starts at Highland and goes east along Hollywood to Vine Street, where to the north you will find the Capitol Records building. From Vine, head south to Sunset and the Arclight Theater. From the Arclight, walk west down Sunset to Highland, then north to where the journey began. It's a great loop that features classic Hollywood landmarks like The Pantages Theater, The Frolic Room and Musso & Frank Grill. If you'd like to look a little deeper, you can even visit the Museum of Death...where else, but Hollywood?

We're trying something new with this walk. Since we are walking through the land that film built, what better way to capture the local color than on the medium that made it famous? That's right, kids...we're shooting film. For only $15.00, we will provide you with a disposable (one time use) film camera. We will also take care of the processing and return prints and a CD of your images to you after the walk. Why film, you may ask? Well, we want to see what you come up with when you all are starting on a level playing field. Photography is all about vision (just ask David duChemin), so we wanted to take all of that fancy low-light-vibration-reducing-polarizing-filtering hardware out of the mix and make it about the vision. You may still bring your digital camera and pariticpation in the film portion is in no way mandatory. However, we will be choosing the winning photo from the film pics. We think it is a fun creative challenge and a fitting homage to Tinsel Town. You only have until March 5th to reserve a camera. You may pay Frank, Nikki or Jeffery at school, or via PayPal using the button below.

Hollywood Boulevard is lined with legends, one of the most recognizable and famous blocks in America. Here you can wander through bars packed with celebrities, if you are lucky. But even if you miss the latest movie star sighting, you can still place your hands down on the pavement, enveloped in the hands of Hollywood’s most luminous stars. This is the claim to fame of Grauman’s Chinese Theater. And the list of celebrities commemorated has only grown each year since its inception.
Parking
Parking at Hollywood & Highland is $2.00 for the first 4 hours with validation; $1.00 for every 20 min. thereafter with an all day maximum of $10.00.
