Description

Join us for another fantastic Faded & Blurred photo walk at The Getty Center (not the Villa). We'll be meeting in front of the main entrance at 10:00am (Take the tram to the top). Admission is FREE, but parking is $15.00 per car, so carpooling is greatly encouraged. In addition to the incredible permanent collection of art and antiquities, there are several fantastic photography exhibits that will be running , including selections from Catherine Opie's "Mini-malls" series, Jeff Chien-Hsing Liao's "Habitat 7" series, and Soo Kim's "Midnight Reykjavík" series. Also on exhibition is A Record of Emotion: The Photographs of Frederick H. Evans. For more information on these exhibits, click HERE. We hope to see you there.

Description

The Getty Center in Los Angeles presents the Getty's collection of Western art from the Middle Ages to the present against a backdrop of dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens, and breathtaking views.

 

Opening Hours
Hours for the Getty Center site and galleries:

Tuesday–Friday - 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Saturday - 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.

Sunday - 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

Monday - CLOSED

Closed Mondays and on January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving, and December 25.

Admission
Admission to the Getty Center and to all exhibitions is FREE, no reservations required. (See section below on parking)

Location
The Getty Center is located at 1200 Getty Center Drive in Los Angeles, California, approximately 12 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Please note that there is no public access to the Getty Center from the residential neighborhood to the south. Access to the Getty Center is only via the main gate on Sepulveda Boulevard.

Parking
Parking is $15 per car. It is FREE after 5:00 p.m. for the Getty Center's evening hours on Saturdays (when we are open until 9:00 p.m.), as well as for all evening public programming, including music, film, lectures, and other special programs held after 5:00 p.m.

Parking reservations are neither required nor accepted.

Street parking in the surrounding neighborhood is restricted.

There are designated handicapped-accessible spaces on the entry level of the parking structure.

Getty Center Tram
A computer-operated tram takes you from the street-level parking facility to the top of the hill. Take the elevators in the parking garage up to the Lower Tram Station (T1). When arriving at or departing from the Getty Center, please allow plenty of time for tram lines on busy days
