Replacing Skies

The idea from this Photoshop Elements 9 tutorial came from a member of our local photo club who asked for help with one of his images. The aircraft in his photo looks great, but the sky has been blown out to white. What do you do when there is simply no available detail to recover? Well, pretty much your only solution is to drop in a new sky. In this tutorial, we’ll cover the basics of adding a Layer Mask in Photoshop Elements 9 to do just that. We’ll also use one of the features of an extension called Elements Plus that adds a ton of great functionality to Elements, including the ability to create smooth paths and selections.
