Five For Friday #28

You need chaos in your soul to give birth to a dancing star. – Nietzsche

The winners of the Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year were recently announced. Although the overall winner was the Border Collie on the right, my favorite has to be the dog peeking his head around the shower.  [via Daily Mail]

Santlov - ToysRLikeUs Santlov - ToysRLikeUs

Toys have become a very popular subject with some photographers. They make great models; they don’t get tired and you can pose them the way you want. I am loving these images by Santlov from his series “ToysRLikeUs” showing what some of our favorite characters do in their spare time.   [via Design Taxi]

Caras Ionut Caras Ionut

There is something beautifully serene about Caras Ionut’s portfolio. Using a combination of photography and compositing, his images show places that are not quite reality, but we’d like to think really do exist somewhere.

This video left me wondering, “What?? How did they do that??” The magic of technology will never cease to amaze me.

Nicolas Ritter Nicolas Ritter

Nicolas Ritter’s project “One” focuses on an individual person in a crowd. These cinemagraphs illustrate how humans tend to look at things, not seeing a scene as a whole, but, rather, small portions of it. Click on each one to see the full effect.

If you have something interesting you think we should feature on an upcoming Five for Friday, let us know.
