Five For Friday #19

“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it.  While they are deciding, make even more art.”  – Andy Warhol

Laurent Seroussi

I never would have thought that entomology could be sexy. Bugs are certainly not something I would associate with fashion and gorgeous models. Laurent Seroussi thought differently though. She has transformed beautiful models into these stunning creatures that look like they belong in a fantasy or sci-fi movie.  [via Trendhunter]

Taking some of the first images from the Mars’ Curiosity rover, Andrew Bodrov has stitched together this amazing interactive panorama. Click around to see a full 360 degree view of the Red Planet. It is hard to fathom that we are looking at details of a place millions of miles away.  [via The Picture Show]

Brian Day Brian Day

Brian Day does some incredible black and white work. His series, “Time Traveler”, has been haunting me. Having the subject either in shadows or turned and walking away, with no clear view of his face, makes each image so lonely and isolating.  [via The D Photo]

Kenia Narez Kenia Narez

There is something both fascinating and somewhat repulsive about this series by Kenia Narez. The subject matter at first appears innocent, almost like Alice in Wonderland, but looking closer there is a slight macabre tone to it. The colors are a bit off and the animals are not as cuddly as they first appear.  [via Faith is Torment]

Olympics Olympics

Since I wasn’t able to watch much of the Olympics live, I have been enjoying going through some of the photographs online. Wired put together some of their favorites and they are pretty spectacular. [via Wired]
