One of the great things about being a photographer with kids is that you’ve always got models to use in your photographs. The’re usually into hamming it up for the camera and, if not, chances are you can bribe them with Oreos. We’ve been fans of photographer Jason Lee for years, first seeing his work on Flickr. Jason has two adorable daughters, whom he began photographing when his mom was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. But, Jason doesn’t just take snapshots of his girls (though his portraits of them are fantastic), but rather, he creates obscenely charming scenes (and we mean that as a compliment) in which the girls are the central characters. Some are reminiscent of Spy vs. Spy, while others are straight out of a Wile E. Coyote and Roadrunner cartoon or even a scene from Super Mario. Whatever the setting, Lee’s photographs are wildly creative and sure to put a smile on your face. In addition to loving the creativity Lee puts into his shots, we also love that he includes the Strobist information, giving viewers a glimpse at the tech side as well. Be warned…you may be looking at his work for quite some time.
