One of the features that I was really looking forward to in the new Photoshop CS5, was the new Refine Edge Tool. I do a lot of compositing, so anything that will help me create better masks, and help me create them faster, is a welcome addition to my toolkit. I’ve tried some of the masking plugins, but to be honest have been less than impressed with the results. Like many of you, I’d seen the demo videos showing how easy the new CS5 Refine Edge enhancements made creating complex masks. So, do these new enhancements actually live up to the hype, or are we still stuck using the channels palette? Find out after the jump.
