Where There’s Smoke, There’s…Water?
In his latest project, titled Aqueous Fluoreau, London-based photographer Mark Mawson, takes humble ingredients such as ink, paint and water and transforms them into beautiful, smoke-like, organic forms, with movement reminiscent of the the of ballet and intricate structure like that of jellyfish. Mawson uses neon colored inks of magenta, yellow and cyan to create gorgeous, delicate explosions of color. The vibrant inks almost glow against the black background as they swirl and mix together to create filigreed kaleidoscopes. Gorgeous.
