Hanksy in New York

Reading Time: 1 minutes

Banksy has recently come out with some new work in London. They are typical Banksy, commenting tongue-in-cheek on social and political issues of the day. Don’t tell Jeffery, but, although I love his work, I think I’m becoming a bigger fan of the work by Hanksy. Like Banksy, no one knows who he is, but he has been putting up some really great work all over New York’s Lower East Side parodying Banksy using images of Tom Hanks with titles and tag lines from his various movies. He’s been such a big hit that he is going to have his first gallery exhibition next month. It will be a one-night exhibit debuting on January 13th at the Krause Gallery

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I guess? I rather go to a Banksy exhibition.

Wouldn’t it be funny if Hanksy and Banksy were, in fact, one and the same?
